Located in the heart of Lisbon, a feet away from the most relevant sightseeing points, this is a typical "Pombalino" apartment which was fully renovated in 2017 an equipped with full new furniture. It has a modern bathroom with a large shower, bright and spacious fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, an electric oven, a microwave and 4 electric ring cooker, cable TV and free Wi-Fi.
Strategically located in a popular district of Lisbon downtown it has several restaurants and transports at hand.
The Space
It is an apartment with much charm and character located in a side street from three Lisbon downtown main squares - Rossio Square, Figueira Square and Martim Moniz; the apartment is ideally located near the most important sightseeings routes, shopping areas, museums, cafeterias and restaurants. It is within walking distance to Rossio Square, Dona Maria Teather, Rossio Station, Restauradores Square, Augusta Street, Praça do Comércio, the elevator of Santa Justa, the Carmo Convent, the São Jorge Castle and Chiado. At door you have the bus to São Jorge Castle, the tram to Belém and the Metro, as well as several other transport connections. You have groceries and a supermarket at 2 to 5 minutes from the apartment.
There are 2 paid parking lots near to the apartment (in Figueira Square and Madalena Street). You can also park in the street. It's also paid but not to expensive.
Good transport connections to outside areas of Lisbon.
There's no washing mashine in the apartment but you can find a Self-Service Washer at 3min walking distance. Sheets and towels are provided, 2 set if your stay is over 15 days.

Pay attention. The garbage is collected all nights around 1am, so some noise is expected.

Der Rossio-Platz, Dona Maria Teather, der Rossio-Bahnhof, der Restauradores-Platz, die Augusta-Straße, der Praça do Comércio, der Aufzug von Santa Justa, das Carmo-Kloster, die Burg São Jorge und der Chiado sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Vor der Tür gibt es den Bus zur Burg São Jorge, die Straßenbahn nach Belém und die Metro sowie verschiedene andere Verkehrsverbindungen. Sie haben Lebensmittelgeschäfte und einen Supermarkt auf 2 bis 5 Minuten von der Wohnung.
Es gibt 2 gebührenpflichtige Parkplätze in der Nähe der Wohnung (am Figueira-Platz und in der Madalena-Straße). Sie können auch auf der Straße parken. Es ist auch bezahlt, aber nicht zu teuer.
Gute Verkehrsanbindung an außerhalb von Lissabon.
Es gibt keine Waschmaschine in der Wohnung, aber Sie können eine Self-Service-Waschmaschine in 3 Minuten zu Fuß zu finden. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt, 2 Sätze, wenn Ihr Aufenthalt länger als 15 Tage ist.

LOCATION! walking distance to Alfama and several central plazas. So much to see and discover. Several great restaurants up the steps!! This flat is nestled in such a central area. It was a great intro to Lisbon and gives you excellent access to nearby hubs of activity.
PRICE! Favorably priced for a great area. The apt itself is a very small space but is well resourced. CLEAN! The place was clean and well kept. Came with towels and clean sheets and pleasant smell.
Things to consider:
NOISE: there is a community center adjacent to the kitchen/bathroom windows so you will hear kids playing football for 70% of your day. While it's endearing it’s, not ideal if you need a quiet space to work from home. Also, the walls are super thin so you hear everything.
AREA: Yes there are people who hang out near the entrance to listen to music and drink. No they are not dangerous or even remotely interested in you. When you arrive its straight up the steps to the right.
SHOWER MOLD: The rest of the apartment was very clean, but the bathroom door and grout had mold at base which was unpleasant.
COLD: Very cold indoors in beginning of April. There is only one tiny heater that we had to elevate to have a chance at warming our toes. If you come in summer you probably won’t have this issue because the weather will be warm.
HOT WATER: we didn't get hot water until day 3 and when it came it left quickly (after 3 mins) in the shower daily.
On a side street that leads to so many wonderful surprises.
The only thing you need to know before checking in:
- it's not enough to take a shower for two people in same time.
- there is not enough heater in the apartment (we bought an extra one to keep warm).
- Martin Moniz, the area doesn't look very safe. But if that doesn't scare you, feel free to book this place.
When you come out of the apartment go up the steps to the right and there is a great neighbourhood of local pubs!
Close to Subway, busses, and restaurants and cafes, yet not so busy or close to nightlife that it would cause disturbances
Very centric -pros and cons of downtown areas.
A bit loud but very typical! The flat is located at the bottom of the stairs that lead to a nice terrace with bars and shops
A bar on the top of the stairs (they have amazing coffee and apple cake with cinnamon)
Place was tidy, clean and in great location (main city center).
5 min to main railway station and to a metro line.
Shop (medium size) is 3 min by walk from the apartment.
We didn't felt safe as lots of homeless people were sleeping close to the apartment.
Otherwise location is great.
Central Lisbon, laid back environment with lots of chatty people!
