One of my first hobbies (when I was a little girl ) was to pretend to be a tourist and speak some foreign language. Later on learning foreign languages became important for my job and my hobby as well; it has always fascinated me and I did it with ease. Due to my family rich heritage, in particular my both parents being promoters of healthy lifestyle, I have been involved in sports, healthy nutrition, yoga, and performing arts, in particular dance and music. Due to their active style of living I traveled a lot and had possibility to be a tourist many times, thus visit many beautiful parts of the copuntry I live in, it’s stunning natural and cultural sights and experiment with different cuisines. My personal interests directed me further towards drama art, psychotherapy and psychological astrology, which along with continuous work on myself focused on improving healthy lifestyle, still interest me greatly.
During my studies members of my family moved to Pula. At that time I lived in capital of Croatia and after that abroad. It was much later that I moved back and joined my family. At that point I felt like a tourist
again; It took me time to explore fantastic natural, cultural and historic heritage of Pula and Istrian peninsula - known as Terra Magica (The Magic L’and). The city itself has so much to offer: it hides stunning historic monuments on many different locations, museums, galleries, performing arts exhibitions and fairs throughout the year. It is particularly known for Pula Film Festival during which whole the city becomes one large movie theater with multiple screens proposing films at many different historic sights. It brings together people from the world of film who could easily be seen in Pula during the festival and culminates through a Golden Arena Award event.
One of the reasons why I moved back to Pula was possibility to live close to beautiful Mediterranean nature and crystalline sea. Swimming, particularly swimming in the sea is one of my favorite sports - it keeps me in good shape and gives me a sense of ease and freedom. Lcated at the southernmost tip of Istrian peninsula Pula boasts fantastic Mediterranean climate and has some of the best beaches in all Istria thus offers a very long swimming season.
Istria - Terra Magica has another fantastic side to it. It is located on a very stable tectonic plate and boasts a thousands of years long history of no earthquakes, no tsunamis and no volcanoes. There is another important reason why I moved back to Pula and Istria. During COVID-19 crisis Istria has been green zone: most of the time. In comparison to other parts of Croatia and Europe, it has had negligibly small number of infected people.
Having said that It would be my pleasure to share with you my newly acquired knowledge of the fantastic natural, cultural and historic heritage offered by Pula and its surroundings and, if you fancy, give you some tips on local and healthy cuisine.
