Funchal, Portugal: Read reviews from both guests and hosts who've had rental experiences in this destination!

In every instance I communicated with you through the site, I received courteous, prompt attention. The site is easy to navigate. We rated flatio a 5 because had a very negive experience at the Pretty Bay rental in Camara de Lobos from 30 April to May 14 (we left early) because we did not feel safe there, unbearable noise levels 24/7. Unlike most, we are not here on vacation, we moved to Madeira and had to rent an apartment waiting for our place to be completed. We chose that apartament due to its close proximity to our construction site, and because of the 5* ratings. It was TERRIBLE in fact, in 30+ years of global travel, it was the worst rental experienced yet. It made us question the validity of the rating system?!

Expensive, really high fees, would rather do Airbnb if paying this much extra.

to many steps ...and forms to fill out...it is easier to just book the place without having to request it also renters change the prices it should not be allow it is misleading the price in the website should be what it is not change after we Request a reservation

The service itself was okay but extending rent was a rollercoaster. The flatio staff couldn't make it correctly for more than a week with constant discussions and asking for corrections. I needed to spend couple of hours to handle such simple thing because all the time amendments to rent contract contained wrong data.

Too complex and not an interface in english.

I would say the service worked well, however it is overpriced. Paying roughly 400 Euros for a contract and discovery of buyer and seller is not a good deal.

I have not fully used the service yet so I am not in a position to provide a good review.

Impossible to communicate efficiently with Flatio to resolve urgent accommodation booking issues.

I got rejected because the owner said the prices was too low. Arent they the ones that update them? How can you trust the site if prices are not reliable?

Your communication. Your hidden fees, the price for the guest is not cristal clear.

€300 Cleaning fee seemed excessive, and the spread on top of the actual rent was quite high.

You don't support on 100% the home owners, plus if there is some problem made from your part you don't take the responsabilization.

I haven't seen the service all the way through so its tough to Sat I would recommend Flatio at this time.

Have an easier refund mechanism in place when landlord and tenant have made an agreement. Make the service fee transparent right away, not only at the end of the booking process.
