Our house was originally two small country houses, built in the 1930's. It features some old original features - like old stone walls, and a traditional patio. But recently it has been substantially renovated, with new electrics, ceilings, floors, kitchen equipment, furnishings, double glazed glass doors and windows - to make the space more welcoming and comfortable. The farmhouse is surrounded by a hectare of land that is an in use organic farm - growing fruits, nuts and vegetables for sale at the local market. there is also a yoga studio, swiming pool & table tennis table. The farmhouse is nestled in the beautiful village of Amendoeira, 7 minutes drive from the market town of Loule, and 20 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the central Algarve and Faro Airport. The village is surrounded by a national park or ecological zone where building and other activities are restricted. No matter how busy it gets by the sea in the summer, it is always quiet in Amendoeira. The village has one cafe where the locals play petanque (boules) and meet throughout the year. And the walking and bike trails that surround the village are some of the best in the Algarve.
