My experience exceeded expectations. Communication with Susana was quick and easy, she was always ready to help!
The flat felt like home...but better. I dreamed to wake up and see the ocean through the window, and my dreams totally came true at this place! Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was a pleasant bonus.
There was everything you would need for a long stay. Comfortable beds, lots of kitchen supplies, spacious rooms, huge terrace, linen, towels, washing machine, fast Internet (which was vital for me).
I would love to come back there one day :)

Neighborhood
It's good for people with their own car. Getting around without it would be tricky, be ready to walk long distances to the nearest shop. And it was even possible to get to Lisbon for one-day sightseeing trip (one way just takes 40min walk + 2 bus rides, not easy, but possible). Maybe there's more public transport in the summer. But I enjoyed this area off-season. Very few people, mostly locals and surfers, empty beaches, ducks and goose and a man feeding them every day. :) Very peaceful and calming atmosphere overall.
Keep in mind that if there's rain the area (including walking lanes and roads) can be terribly flooded. But that wasn't an issue for me.
Also, it's hard to get an Uber car to that place. There are no cars at that area, don't count on them (at least off season).

Recommended places nearby
Grão de areia on Santa Rita beach -- nice place to have lunch or dinner (with a view!).
For groceries I hiked to shops in Maceira and Vimeiro. And also to Santa Cruz once.
But if you have a car, it's easier. :)

Really enjoyed my stay in Porto Novo. The area has beautiful beaches & nature trials within meters from your front door. Susana was an excellent landlord to deal with.

The Grão d'Areia restaurant is walking distance & provides great meals with a view of beach!
