Wohnung zu vermieten - Budapest

100 square meter flat in an old aristocratic family home right in the diplomatic quarter of Budapest. Very few occupants in the house as each of the 9 apartments is very large, it is a very peaceful place to live/work from home. Everyone in the house is international and there is a nice community feeling which is a rare and welcomed find in Budapest. This is not a shared house listing, I am merely speaking about the neighbors in the building, the immediate community. The apartment is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with 35 sm living room (4.25 meter high ceilings) that opens to a 30 sm terrace via 3.5 meter tall double french doors. The living room ceiling is adorned with the original wooden panels from 1892 in flawless condition. All other rooms of the house have beautiful crown moldings with hidden lighting features and there are stained glass elements over a few of the internal doors (kitchen, guest bath, etc). Entirely new heating system installed in 2024. Double pane windows throughout the flat. The house has a giant private garden in the back that practically none of the other tenants in the house use, ever. A quiet and peaceful retreat, accessible to all the amenities Budapest has to offer. 1 block from the number 1 metro, the oldest underground in continental Europe. This metro line gets you to the downtown shopping street, or the parliament building within 7 minutes, or about 5 minutes to the National Opera. The flat is 1 block away from the Hero's square and city park with many museums and wide greens to enjoy, the world famous Széchenyi baths, and there are even a few park bar/eateries strewn about the park. This portion of the 6th district is extremely beautiful, each street has lots of old mansion homes that are very well restored and because of this all the streets have plenty of green with the front gardens and rows of mature trees. The neighborhood is called the diplomatic quarter because of the amount of embassies in close proximity. An extremely safe neighborhood, even for Budapest which is very safe as it is! A true one of a kind accommodation in one of the best parts of town.
