This bright and comfortable apartment in Pitigliano places cafés, restaurants, and artisan shops just outside your door, while the countryside of the Maremma — with its hiking trails, vineyards, and famous thermal hot springs — is only minutes away. With fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, and a flexible second bedroom/office, the apartment is ideal for remote workers, visiting scholars, or anyone looking to experience life in an authentic Italian village while exploring central Italy.
Many of our guests stay for several weeks or months, using the apartment as a comfortable base for remote work while enjoying the rhythm of life in a historic Italian village.

• the thermal hot springs of Saturnia (40 minutes)
• the medieval villages of Sovana and Sorano (10–15 minutes)
• Monte Amiata and its forests and hiking trails (45 minutes)
• the beaches and sailing towns of Monte Argentario (1 hour)
Larger cities such as Orvieto (45 minutes), Siena (1.5 hours), Florence (2 hours), and Rome (about 2 hours) are also easily reachable by car. The closest international airport is Rome Fiumicino.
A car is recommended for exploring the region, although daily life in the village can easily be managed on foot. Bus service connects Pitigliano to nearby towns and cities, and private car services are also available with advance arrangement.

The apartment features a new, efficient pellet furnace that keeps the entire space warm with an authentic real-fire glow. To ensure your winter stay is completely hassle-free, your first 15kg bag of pellets is provided free of charge upon arrival. After which we are happy to source and deliver pellet refills whenever needed. A standard bag costs between €6.40 and €8.00, and depending on your personal usage, you will typically need about 2 to 4 bags per week during the coldest winter months.
