A quiet, well to do residential neighbourhood with a beautiful view of the water from on high. Some restaurants and a grocery store are minutes away.
This neighbourhood contains several embassies. It is situated below the large Estrela Park and above the National Museum of Ancient Art /
Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga. Several coffee shops, wine bars, bars and many types of restaurants.

Very calm and nice. From the streets you have a beautiful view of the river with small cafes and restaurants close by. It’s a perfect location between Santos and Estrela.

The neighborhood is quiet and more residential, which was perfect for what I was looking for. There are some good restaurants and coffee shops nearby as well. The views from the balcony are 10/10. If you're looking to stay in Lisbon, look no further!
Community-feel. In the mornings you see people taking their children to school, and a lot of people walking their dogs.
Rui’s communication was second to none, he sent us lists of recommended restaurants, beaches, coffee shops and days out. When we had minor repairs needing he would send someone to come and sort it within a few hours. He could not have been more helpful or fast on responding.
We had a brilliant six week stay and we will be back for sure!
This is a really great neighbourhood, brilliant restaurants, very safe, perfect location,
Liberty for brunch and dinner, Maluca for dinner, Buna for coffee, APF for lunch, chirrasqueira de Lapa for Frango takeout,
Small community feel, lots of locals and traditional Portuguese restaurants following Rua das Trinas up toward Jardim da Estrela, but a nice mix of tourists and casual cool cafes at the bottom of the hill near Rua Santos o Velho. You can't beat the invigorating ~10 minute walk through Rua Dom Luis to the Cais do Sodre area and ~15 minute walk to Bairro Alto.
I ended up eating at Mila and Heim, so much they knew my name. Great brunch food and a sweet place to just sit outside and people watch while drinking a coffee or tea.
