Welcome to Apartment Smíchov. The spacious but cosy flat (130m2) comprises two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, hall, toilet, bathroom, dressing room and small balcony. You can find it on the first floor of a historic apartment house located on the edge of a city centre. The lift is available.
There is a transportation hub in the neighbourhood, with a railway, bus and the underground (10 mins easily by walk). A nearest tram station is even closer (5 mins). 2 mins of the apartment door there is a laundry café and couple steps further a fancy Italian store with a restaurant. Walking the opposite direction you will soon see the Staropramen brewery, one of the biggest in the country.
The railway traffic is audible in the rooms. In winter season, when the leaves dropped, the line is visible too. The street is dead end.
The location is just at the riverside. The railway bridge across the river (2 mins) is equipped with the pavements. Both left and right riverbanks are pleasant and popular. The right one belongs to top targets for tourists as well as natives. You will find cafes, bakeries, galleries, playgrounds and so on. A Prague Old Town you will reach by walk (20 mins).

In der Nähe befindet sich ein Verkehrsknotenpunkt mit Bahn, Bus und U-Bahn (10 Minuten zu Fuß). Die nächste Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist noch näher (5 Minuten). 2 Minuten von der Wohnungstür entfernt gibt es ein Wäscherei-Café und ein paar Schritte weiter ein schickes italienisches Geschäft mit einem Restaurant. Wenn Sie in die entgegengesetzte Richtung gehen, sehen Sie bald die Staropramen-Brauerei, eine der größten des Landes.
Der Eisenbahnverkehr ist in den Zimmern zu hören. In der Wintersaison, wenn das Laub gefallen ist, ist die Strecke auch sichtbar. Die Straße ist eine Sackgasse.
Die Lage ist direkt am Flussufer. Die Eisenbahnbrücke über den Fluss (2 Min.) ist mit Gehwegen ausgestattet. Sowohl das linke als auch das rechte Flussufer sind angenehm und beliebt. Das rechte Ufer gehört zu den Top-Zielen für Touristen und Einheimische. Hier finden Sie Cafés, Bäckereien, Galerien, Spielplätze und vieles mehr. Die Prager Altstadt erreichen Sie zu Fuß (20 Min.).

I rent this apartment for 3 months with a flatmate (end of May to August). Rooms are large, nice and very sunny. The apartment has no AC but is located in a old stone building, making it fresh during the heatwaves. The landlord, Nicola, bought us curtains and 2 fans so the apartment was very confortable during the hot season.

It is located in Prague 5 from a walking distance to public transportation; metro Smichov, trains, trams and the bus station Na Knizel. The bridge trains are in front of the building… but when closing the windows the sound is barely audible. The trains don’t operate during night.

A washing machine is included and a drying rack as well. On the balcony there is a clothes line and a bigger clothes line in the garden.

The kitchen is furnished; dishes, pots, pans, boiler, microwave and also a toaster. The gaz oven is a additionnal plus, making the food delicious. As this apartment can accommodate up to 4 persons we find the fridge to be small. A nice touch will be to add a standard fridge to facilitate the buying of produces. But there are many grocery stores near by, not making this an issue to buy food.

The landlord is very kind and attentive. I will surely rent this apartment when returning to Prague again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nikola was an exceptional landlord. She was always very helpful and accommodating, and made us feel very at home as expats in Prague. During the COVID-19 Pandemic she was very accommodating when we had to leave Czech Republic, and put in extra effort to help us.
I cannot recommend her more!
