The apartment is nice. We had some issues during our stay, but the landlord was always quick to respond and the issues got solved in a day or two.

Neighborhood
It's a nice neighbourhood, and the apartment is very very close to both the beach and the metro, which is very convenient. Overall, it's a safe neighbourhood, however, due to its proximity to the beach and the many tourists in the area, some restaurants on the promenade are overpriced and you need to beware of pickpocketing (pretty much everywhere in Barcelona though).

Recommended places nearby
There is a supermarket right across the apartment and a lidl within walking distance, so buying groceries is fairly easy. For restaurants, I would recommend going to El Gótico or El Born neighbourhoods, because there are some better-priced, very cute restaurants.
