Although Serbia is not completely unknown to digital nomading, Zlatibor is still off the radar but we will do our best to make it "visible" to the whole world. It sure deserves to be much higher on this "list" - for both its lifestyle and incredible nature. For now, it's an excellent opportunity to explore nature, eat helathy food and get your work done in silence.
To be precise, our property is a part of a buliding complex consisting mainly of separate (similar) units that are available for letting given that Zlatibor is a popular touristic destination in the region. Hence, it has a great potential for co-living and co-working concept.
*PROPERTY
We offer a one-bedroom apartment (33 m2), ground floor, fully furnished, terrace looking over the yard, plenty of sunshine and it's south oriented. Our unite has recently been redecorated and it was our family project (mine, my husband's and my daughter's) done with great amount of love and attention to every detail. It can accomodate up to 2 people.
Kitchen and dining** room are combined in an open space with the living area that has a quite big and TV-oriented sectionl sofa for the afternoon lounge. Kitchen includes a refrigerator with the small freezer compartment, microwave oven, electric kettle and a ceramic stove top. It is also supplied with plenty of cutlery/crockery, pots and pans, cooking utensils etc. The key point of the living room is a fine, comfortable sectinal sofa. **Given the square footage, the table set in the dining room is easily converted into a work station. Two additonal coffe tables are available in the living room (38x38 cm; 68x38 cm).
Separated bedroom comprises a double bed (2,0 m x 1,4 m) and a storage closet. Linens, bedsheets, blankets are provided.
All windows are equipped with roller shutters, so you can adjust your ambience durnig the day as you wish.
Separated bathroom with a shower, towels included. No washing machine - several laundry services available locally and are circa 8-10 minutes away from the apartment.
Beautiful terrace overlooking the grassy yard where guests can enjoy the sunny/ shady periods during the day depending on their mood. Although it's a ground floor level, it is well separated from the main street by a line of evergreen trees in order to maintain the guests' privacy.

* BUILDING
Our unit is a part of an apartment building complex, located close to the central lake region of Zlatibor. It'a actually in a dead end street so the traffic is never an issue. The whole building has beautiful mountain charm, which kind of "defies" modern construction trend often seen lately in Zlatibor. Joined entrace to the building includes a few stairs up then a few stairs down to our private entrance door. Parkig lot is just outside the apartment building.
* AREA AND SURROUNDINGS
The building is closely surrounded by a few mature pines which fits perfectly in a mountain landscape. The central lake region is just about 8 minutes of walk distance from our unit and this is where the majority of cafes, restaurants, banks, pharmacy stores, boutiques are.
Post office, Health service, many exchange offices are also located in the centre. Public bus station is near the centre, circa 10 minutes away from our apartment. Rent-a-car/ bike/ ATV service also available.
Zlatibor is a small town located at the namesake mountain in the municipality of Čajetina, western Serbia (elevation just over 1000 m). It is both touristic and residential place in which everything is pretty much in a walking distance. There is really no need of using a car to meet the inner/central part of Zlatibor, a bike would be just fine if you want to browse wider area. It is famous for the biggest panoramic gondola in the world. What's even more famous for is "the rose of the winds" - that's a natural phenomenon of two steams - mediterranean and continental colide so staying at this beautiful mountain will definately make your lungs "breathe". With regards to many health benefits, Specialized Helath Centre for thyroid gland and metabolism was founded in 1964 as the uniqe centre of this kind in the Balkans which has been developing and working successfully ever since.
In the last few years Zlatibor has grown into a designated touristic region that offers so many biking/hiking tracks, ATV tours, day trips&excursions, beautiful nature, swimming pools, modern spa centres, etc. Maybe even more beautiful is Zlatibor's surrounding eco-villages with gorgeous lakes, streams, landscapes, caves, open-museums, etc.
Last but not the least, Zlatibor is one of the top ski centres in Serbia which is ideal for nordic skiing and biathlon. 9 kilometres away from Zlatibor is Tornik ski center - mountain resort and one of the largest centers of winter tourism in Serbia. Located on the slopes of Zlatibor Mountain, it is mainly a destination for skiing. Panoramic gondola is a unique way of transportation between Zlatibor and Tornik throughout the year, especially when Zlatibor is covered in sparkling snow which is a breathtaking experience from the air.
Obwohl Serbien für das digitale Nomadentum nicht völlig unbekannt ist, ist Zlatibor noch nicht auf dem Radar, aber wir werden unser Bestes tun, um es für die ganze Welt "sichtbar" zu machen. Zlatibor verdient es auf jeden Fall, viel weiter oben auf dieser "Liste" zu stehen - sowohl wegen seines Lebensstils als auch wegen der unglaublichen Natur. Im Moment ist es eine hervorragende Gelegenheit, die Natur zu erkunden, gutes Essen zu genießen und in aller Ruhe zu arbeiten.
Um genau zu sein, ist unsere Immobilie Teil eines Gebäudekomplexes, der hauptsächlich aus separaten (ähnlichen) Einheiten besteht, die zur Vermietung zur Verfügung stehen, da Zlatibor ein beliebtes touristisches Ziel in der Region ist. Daher hat es ein großes Potenzial für Co-Living und Co-Working-Konzepte.
*EIGENTUM
Wir bieten eine Ein-Zimmer-Wohnung (33 m2), Erdgeschoss, voll möbliert, Terrasse mit Blick auf den Hof, viel Sonne und es ist nach Süden ausgerichtet. Unsere Wohnung wurde vor kurzem renoviert und es war unser Familienprojekt (meine, die meines Mannes und die meiner Tochter), das mit viel Liebe zum Detail durchgeführt wurde. Es kann bis zu 2 Personen beherbergen.
Küche und Esszimmer** sind in einem offenen Raum mit dem Wohnbereich kombiniert, der ein recht großes und fernsehgerechtes Sektionssofa für die Nachmittagslounge hat. Die Küche verfügt über einen Kühlschrank mit kleinem Gefrierfach, eine Mikrowelle, einen Wasserkocher und ein Cerankochfeld. Sie ist außerdem mit reichlich Besteck/Geschirr, Töpfen und Pfannen, Kochutensilien usw. ausgestattet. Das Herzstück des Wohnzimmers ist ein schönes, bequemes Sektinsofa. **Der Tisch im Esszimmer lässt sich aufgrund seiner Größe leicht in einen Arbeitsplatz umwandeln. Zwei zusätzliche Couchtische sind im Wohnzimmer vorhanden (38x38 cm; 68x38 cm).
Das separate Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Doppelbett (2,0 m x 1,4 m) und einen Abstellschrank. Bettwäsche, Bettlaken und Decken sind vorhanden.
Alle Fenster sind mit Rollläden ausgestattet, so dass Sie Ihr Ambiente tagsüber nach Belieben einstellen können.
Separates Bad mit Dusche, Handtücher inklusive. Keine Waschmaschine - mehrere Wäschereien stehen vor Ort zur Verfügung und sind ca. 8-10 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt.
Schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den grasbewachsenen Hof, wo die Gäste je nach Lust und Laune die sonnigen oder schattigen Abschnitte des Tages genießen können. Obwohl die Wohnung im Erdgeschoss liegt, ist sie durch eine Reihe von immergrünen Bäumen gut von der Hauptstraße getrennt, um die Privatsphäre der Gäste zu wahren.

* GEBÄUDE
Unsere Einheit ist Teil eines Apartmentkomplexes, der sich in der Nähe der zentralen Seenregion von Zlatibor befindet. Es ist eigentlich in einer Sackgasse, so dass der Verkehr ist nie ein Problem. Das ganze Gebäude hat einen wunderschönen Bergcharme, der dem modernen Bautrend, der in letzter Zeit in Zlatibor oft zu sehen ist, irgendwie "trotzt". Verbunden entrace zum Gebäude umfasst ein paar Treppen nach oben, dann ein paar Treppen hinunter zu unserem privaten Eingangstür. Der Parkplatz befindet sich direkt vor dem Gebäude.
* GEBIET UND UMGEBUNG
Das Gebäude ist von einigen alten Kiefern umgeben, die sich perfekt in die Berglandschaft einfügen. Die zentrale Seeregion ist nur ca. 8 Gehminuten von unserer Einheit entfernt und hier befinden sich die meisten Cafés, Restaurants, Banken, Apotheken, Boutiquen.
Post, Gesundheitsdienst, viele Wechselstuben befinden sich ebenfalls im Zentrum. Der öffentliche Busbahnhof liegt in der Nähe des Zentrums, ca. 10 Minuten von unserer Wohnung entfernt. Autovermietung, Fahrradverleih und ATV-Service sind ebenfalls vorhanden.
Zlatibor ist eine kleine Stadt am gleichnamigen Berg in der Gemeinde Čajetina, Westserbien (Höhe knapp über 1000 m). Zlatibor ist sowohl ein touristischer Ort als auch ein Wohnort, in dem alles zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Es ist wirklich nicht nötig, ein Auto zu benutzen, um den inneren/zentralen Teil von Zlatibor kennenzulernen, ein Fahrrad wäre genau richtig, wenn Sie die weitere Umgebung erkunden wollen. Zlatibor ist berühmt für die größte Panoramagondel der Welt. Noch berühmter ist die "Rose der Winde" - ein natürliches Phänomen, bei dem zwei Ströme zusammenfließen - der mediterrane und der kontinentale, so dass ein Aufenthalt auf diesem wunderschönen Berg Ihre Lungen definitiv "atmen" lässt. Was die vielen gesundheitlichen Vorteile betrifft, so wurde das spezialisierte Gesundheitszentrum für Schilddrüse und Stoffwechsel 1964 als einziges Zentrum dieser Art auf dem Balkan gegründet, das sich seitdem erfolgreich entwickelt und arbeitet.
In den letzten Jahren hat sich Zlatibor zu einer ausgewiesenen Tourismusregion entwickelt, die viele Rad- und Wanderwege, ATV-Touren, Tagesausflüge und Exkursionen, wunderschöne Natur, Schwimmbäder, moderne Spa-Zentren usw. bietet. Vielleicht noch schöner sind die umliegenden Öko-Dörfer von Zlatibor mit ihren wunderschönen Seen, Bächen, Landschaften, Höhlen, Freilichtmuseen, usw.
Nicht zuletzt ist Zlatibor eines der besten Skizentren in Serbien, ideal für Langlauf und Biathlon. 9 Kilometer von Zlatibor entfernt liegt das Skizentrum Tornik - ein Gebirgsort und eines der größten Zentren des Wintertourismus in Serbien. Es liegt an den Hängen des Berges Zlatibor und ist vor allem ein Ziel für Skifahrer. Die Panoramagondel ist das ganze Jahr über ein einzigartiges Transportmittel zwischen Zlatibor und Tornik, vor allem wenn Zlatibor mit glitzerndem Schnee bedeckt ist, was aus der Luft ein atemberaubendes Erlebnis ist.

My husband and I bought the apartment in Zlatibor last year because this is such a beautiful place for short vacations and very family-friendly. We actually live between Serbia and Bosnia so we'd like to promote these two beautiful countries, starting with Golden Pine region in Serbia ("Zlatibor" in original). I'm a proud mother of a 7-year old daughter Una. Both me and my husband have a regular day jobs, but letting our apartment always means meeting new people, their culture, history and most of all making friends all over the world. There are actually three phrases you could put Zlatibor into: health centre, ski resort and summer adventure so everyone can find something for themselves. You can enjoy pleasant climate in summer and true snow fairy tale in winter. Furthermore, traditional cousine is "a must try" and is available in almost every local restaurant - homemade bread, local chees and meat products and the list goes on....We just love it and sure you'll love it too!
