The apartment is perfectly located on Király utca (King Street), the vibrant heart of District VI, also known as the Jewish Quarter. Surrounded by lively restaurants, ruin bars, cafes, and museums just steps away, it offers the best of Budapest’s buzz. Inside the building, a serene green courtyard ensures peace, and the apartment itself is quiet and restful. Enjoy excellent transport links, including the 100E airport bus and Deák Ferenc tér metro as well as Opera metro, making it an ideal base for your stay.
For digital nomads, this is an excellent location full of cafes, bars, nightclubs, restaurants – where you can meet other people and not feel isolated. If you get bored sitting at home, there is Starbucks coffee shop 2 minutes from the apartment building, where you can park yourself on the second floor and work from there. You can easily have 2 adult visitors staying in the small bedroom (short period of time as the room is rather small). 1 adult can stay in the additional bedroom comfortably with their own desk. There are two desk in each bedroom in case you are a couple and need separate space for working. Both desks are facing the window which is fantastic for video calls. The background for the videos is also "clean" when you sit there.
For a small family with 1, max 2 kids, this apartment could work well, too. I don't believe the apartment is suitable for children who are in the 'exploring' stage (unless you can take care of the bookshelves and open shelves with glasses, walls etc.) Also, if you have two kids, then age 12+ might make the second bedroom claustrophobic. For two small kids I believe the room is manageable for medium term. Ideal for 1 kid though.
During warm months but also during a sunny day, you can take out two chairs to sit on the balcony and enjoy direct sunshine between 12-3pm. For smokers, it is easy to walk outside the apartment and have a cigarette without having to go outside the actual building. And you'll have a view of the trees in the courtyard which is a very unusual feature in the buildings in central Budapest.
The apartment is decorated with things I collected from around the world, has beautiful art and a small but substantial library that you can use. I believe this differentiates my apartment from others. It does feel like home. I live there when I'm in Budapest and it's perfect for me. I am confident you will love it, too!
Die Wohnung befindet sich in perfekter Lage in der Király utca (Königsstraße), dem pulsierenden Herzen des Bezirks VI, auch bekannt als das jüdische Viertel. Umgeben von lebhaften Restaurants, Ruinenbars, Cafés und Museen, die nur wenige Schritte entfernt sind, bietet sie das Beste von Budapests Trubel. Im Inneren des Gebäudes sorgt ein grüner Innenhof für Ruhe, und auch die Wohnung selbst ist ruhig und erholsam. Die hervorragende Verkehrsanbindung mit dem Flughafenbus 100E und der Metro Deák Ferenc tér sowie der Metro Opera macht die Wohnung zu einem idealen Ausgangspunkt für Ihren Aufenthalt.
Für digitale Nomaden ist dies ein hervorragender Ort mit vielen Cafés, Bars, Nachtclubs und Restaurants, wo man andere Leute treffen kann und sich nicht isoliert fühlt. Wenn es Ihnen zu Hause zu langweilig wird, gibt es 2 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt ein Starbucks-Café, wo Sie im zweiten Stock parken und von dort aus arbeiten können. Sie können problemlos 2 erwachsene Besucher in dem kleinen Schlafzimmer unterbringen (für kurze Zeit, da das Zimmer recht klein ist). 1 Erwachsener kann bequem im zusätzlichen Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Schreibtisch übernachten. Es gibt zwei Schreibtische in jedem Schlafzimmer, falls Sie ein Paar sind und einen separaten Platz zum Arbeiten brauchen. Beide Schreibtische sind zum Fenster hin ausgerichtet, was für Videotelefonate fantastisch ist. Der Hintergrund für die Videos ist auch "sauber", wenn Sie dort sitzen.
Für eine kleine Familie mit 1, maximal 2 Kindern könnte diese Wohnung auch gut geeignet sein. Ich glaube nicht, dass die Wohnung für Kinder geeignet ist, die in der "Entdecker"-Phase sind (es sei denn, man kann sich um die Bücherregale und offenen Regale mit Gläsern, Wänden usw. kümmern). Außerdem könnte das zweite Schlafzimmer klaustrophobisch werden, wenn man zwei Kinder im Alter von 12+ hat. Für zwei kleine Kinder halte ich das Zimmer mittelfristig für überschaubar. Ideal für 1 Kind allerdings.
In den warmen Monaten, aber auch an einem sonnigen Tag, kann man zwei Stühle auf den Balkon stellen und zwischen 12 und 15 Uhr die direkte Sonne genießen. Für Raucher ist es einfach, vor die Wohnung zu gehen und eine Zigarette zu rauchen, ohne das Gebäude verlassen zu müssen. Außerdem haben Sie einen Blick auf die Bäume im Innenhof, was in den Gebäuden im Zentrum von Budapest sehr ungewöhnlich ist.
Die Wohnung ist mit Dingen dekoriert, die ich in der ganzen Welt gesammelt habe, hat schöne Kunst und eine kleine, aber umfangreiche Bibliothek, die Sie benutzen können. Ich glaube, das unterscheidet meine Wohnung von anderen. Sie fühlt sich wirklich wie ein Zuhause an. Ich wohne dort, wenn ich in Budapest bin, und es ist perfekt für mich. Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass auch Sie sie lieben werden!
